While on tour with his band
SMASHING PUMPKINS
lead singer Billy Corgan decided to take a
break & came to Heritage for some
shopping!

Born in Elk Grove, IL Corgan, a former High
School basketball player, is a huge fan of the
Chicago Bulls.
While visiting a nearby friend, 2 time Emmy winner, Sally Struthers
accompanied by her daughter Samantha, stopped into our store to
shop.  Sally is a passionate collector of vintage goods.  A fixture on
network television shows & TV movies, Struthers started life as
Archie Bunker's only daughter Gloria on "All in the Family" & most
recently was a series regular on the WB's "Gilmore Girls".
Ironically, "All in the Family" collectibles have skyrocketed in value,
including the first anatomically correct baby doll "Joey" modelled
after Gloria & her husband Mike Stivic's newborn son (& Archie
Bunkers first grandchild).  See Sally next in re-runs of the Gilmore
Girls & the Hallmark Channel's movie "What I did for Love".
Check local listings for times & dates.

Little known Sally fact--she is an accomplished primitive artist.

you never know who you might see!
GUESS WHO'S SHOPPING IN HERITAGE?
The book "The Lovely Bones" was a huge
bestseller so it was only natural it would
become a movie.  Peter Jackson (Lord of the
Rings) personally purchased the movie rights &
is directing.  After scouting locations Jackson
decided that the exteriors needed to be filmed
where the book takes place--Norristown, PA &
the surrounding area.  Filming is finished and
the movie is in post production.

While filming, prop people scouted the aisle's of
Heritage purchasing items for the film.

The movie, which stars Susan Sarandon, Mark
Wahlberg, Michael Imperioli & Rachael Wiesz is
slated to be released in the United States
December 11, 2009.

AWARD WINNING ACTRESS
A Buyer for fashion designer and style Icon, Ralph Lauren was in
Heritage and the surrounding stores making purchases.

Ralph Lauren is considered the first designer to truly "brand" his
products understanding the power of name & packaging.   He
became the first designer to sell a "lifestyle" designing everything
from clothes to furniture, bedding, fragrances, jewelry and virtually
anything else you would need to set up a home.

Viewed as the epitome of true classic, traditional style that is timeless,
Ralph Lauren carries the same over to his many homes.  In addition to
his own designs he supplements his decorating with a variety of
stunning antiques, including flow blue china and chinese porcelain.

What was Mr. Lauren's Buyer purchasing?  Vintage leather
suitcases were at the top of his list!
